ADVENTURE HOLIDAY CLUBS

  • Both sites are based in Rutland and a short drive apart:

  • Yes, you should receive a booking confirmation shortly after you have made your booking. If this is your first time booking with us, you may find our first email goes to Spam. If you have booked via the HAF Scheme, you should receive a booking confirmation from Rutland County Council, you will not receive an immediate booking confirmation from Fenland Adventure, these are sent out closer to the date of your booking.

  • Yes, as long as we have availability, you can change your booking as many times as you like, however, all changes must stay within the year they are booked.

  • We are unable to refund placed booked on our Adventure Holiday Clubs, sorry.

  • Unfortunately not, sorry.

  • Yes, you can collect your child whenever you like, we ask that you inform us at drop off, or call ahead.

  • We ask that children are sent to our clubs wearing suncream, they will be reminded throughout the day to re apply. Where a child in struggling, we may assist, however, application will be performed by the child. We will not accept liability for children getting sun burnt.

  • Sometimes, yes. We may alter the activity programme due to the following reasons:

    • Weather

    • The group (as a whole) have requested a certain activity

    • Unforeseen circumstances that require us to make amendments, e.g. staff illness, vandalism, equipment maintenance or failure.

  • Our expected standards of behaviour are detailed in our terms and conditions.

ACTIVITY DAYS & ACTIVITY HIRE

  • As a rule of thumb, each activity base will require a 10m x 10m space, except for our Giant Go-Karts, which require a minimum of a tennis court sized space (the bigger the better!).

  • Our mobile climbing wall measures 2.5 meters across (100 inch). Our van/truck will need a good ‘swing’ to get through, a regular ‘two way street’ is sufficient, assuming there are no cars parked either side. We will ask for the what3words location for the main entrance on booking, this way we are able to check there is sufficient access before arrival, in some circumstances, we may arrange a pre visit.

  • No, we actually prefer grass as it is kinder to our equipment. With that said, we can set the wall on any flat, solid base.

  • We will require a ‘dead space’ behind both activity bases. We will confirm if we are able to provide archery and/or target shooting at your venue prior to confirming your booking.

  • Yes.

RESIDENTIAL VISITS

  • The Cabin at Shacklwell Hollow has five 6 bed bunk rooms and two separate rooms for group leaders. A diagram of the cabin can be found here.

    Groups will need to bring a sleeping bag and pillow, alternatively, you can bring your quilt or blanket.

  • Yes, our residential visits are all inclusive and include breakfast, lunch and dinner. Hot and cold drinks are available throughout the day, with hot chocolate provided in the evenings.
